No, not Phoenix Arizona, rather the one that rises from the ashes.
This was our unit at the beginning of December with linoleum, carpet and hardwood.
As we are aging, and the linoleum was awful and the carpeting would make rolling a walker more difficult we decided to update the flooring.
Please note the existing hardwood (shown above) was four inch wide planking, which ran north south making the main living area look long and narrow.
Below are some shots of our all cement flooring which we had for a couple of weeks. Furniture was moved side to side and room to room as needed.
And below, this is the middle of December, with LVP running throughout using eight inch planking which now ran east west, making the main living area appear to by much wider and larger. Also the lighter colour contrasts better with the cabinetry and furniture to further fool the eye about the size of the living area.
With all the moving and shuffling of furniture we ended up with one casualty, our Mother in Law plant had it’s limbs broken.
In the condominium we have a “free” table. If you don’t want something, leave it on the table and someone else may be able to make use of it. The day after the MIL plant death I was walking by the free table, and low and behold, someone had left a MIL plant on the table. So now we have a new healthy plant.
